TD Bank used our Tower Optical Digital Viewer to display content in Union Square.
The Tower Optical Digital Viewer is one of our latest efforts to create a new way of looking at our environments, both physically and temporally. We modified the internals of the classic Tower Optical viewer to become a versatile and customizable tool for displaying media. The new viewer can play videos, slideshows or interactive content to tell stories at public spaces, exhibits, tradeshows, retail, and anything else you need.
What makes the viewer truly unique is it’s potential for an interactive experience. For instance, you could interact with images, panning or tilting them by moving the viewer. You could control a remote camera with the viewer, allowing people to look in hard to reach areas, like the bottom of the Grand Canyon or next to a bird’s nest. You could play interactive games. Or you can view augmented reality content such as the view of a neighborhood with information about the stores and restaurants around you, or showing the plaza while overlaying how the view have changed over time.
The Tower Optical Digital Viewer bridges the past with the present and future. The iconic design brings a sense of nostalgia, while the added features create new experiences. The possibilities are endless. How would you like to use one? Let us know!
The making of the Tower Optical Digital Viewer

In response to the recent hurricane, artists and entrepreneurs in DUMBO came together to help the community. BioLite brought out their CampStove, which charges phones by burning wood. And we put out our Street Charge, which uses solar energy to charge any USB powered devices. The Pensa team also joined our neighbors to clean and restore the flooded Galapagos Art Space. During this time of tragedy, it is truly amazing how a community can come together and use imagination and creativity to help out the neighborhood and those in need. For those still affected by the hurricane, our thoughts are with you.

If you have ever baked from scratch, you’ve probably noticed that measuring spoons were not designed for liquids.
